TMO goes with it every year coz every time a customer calls up and asks a stupid qn - TMO CSRs have the liberty to give them a bucket of free minutes!! If they do, then chances are they'll have better coverage in the areas you need to go. Or ask your employer if they have a fixed set of cities where employees tend to go, and try to find out from people (rather than the provider) what the coverage is like in those spots.Rajesh J Advanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10728053229392465570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037288.post-1120236675796068162005-07-01T11:51:00.000-05:002005-07-01T11:51:00.000-05:00RJA: I think it will be fixed by a number change, ...RJA: I think it will be fixed by a number change, but I am wondering if I shld take that risk, since the "lack of coverage" (as opposed to the "IN" competitor, which u subscribe to, i think) issue haunts me ! I call, I hear a ring, but the phone doesn't actually ring at the other end.

Also, I'm not too happy with their ( PC's) customer service. Not to mention their quite high rates. I'm stuck with them because I need the mobile-to-mobile minutes as a majority of my talk-time is spent calling people who have the same provider. I don't want to change my number, and I'm on a prepaid plan. And they don't port numbers if you've got a prepaid plan. They may have the largest GSM network in the US, but I think they suck big time.

And they said the US was all about customer-service. *sigh*

Would like to know the details of why your problem is not going to be fixed without a change in number, though.Rajesh J Advanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10728053229392465570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037288.post-1120236345748356842005-07-01T11:45:00.000-05:002005-07-01T11:45:00.000-05:00Hmmm.. i hear that too, but how do they finish fir...Hmmm.. i hear that too, but how do they finish first overall in terms of overall customer satisfaction... And btw, how does the lack of coverage compare with no roaming charges? I mean, with my limited knowledge, I assume that roaming occurs when u dont have coverage right? And I have never had any coverage problems anywhere. Open space na, I have four bars all the time! Again my question is, is this "lack of coverage" offset by the "no roaming charges" or are they two different unrelated concepts?ananthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01130501107980414641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037288.post-1120236052796182592005-07-01T11:40:00.000-05:002005-07-01T11:40:00.000-05:00anti, i am not sure abt the funda behind changing ...anti, i am not sure abt the funda behind changing numbers...it mite help but i am positive that ur service provider is one of the worst in the country...they have the worst coverage in the nation (this news is from rf ppl working in the field) which is precisely y they give such gud deals (more minutes for less!!).capriciously_mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14917465256601519670noreply@blogger.com
