Thalaivar, the Boss...
Ek hi chaand hai, raat ke liye...
Ore oru chandiran dhaan, iravukku ellam..
Ek hi suraj hai, din ke liye...
Ore oru kadhiravan dhaan, pagalukku ellam..
Ek hi thalaivar hai, is jugh ke liye...
Ore oru thalaivar dhaan.... oorukku ellam....
Ore oru thalaivar dhaan.... oorukku ellam....
I must be the only thalaivar fan who did not post anything yesterday. But then, I am humble enough to admit that I cannot be as big a fan as someone who created this and this and this and this and this.
Anon: Ya, come to think of it, it looks kinda retro. In fact, it reminds me of John Travolta from Swordfish! Harish: That's from a song of his...except the word Thalaivar that is. Nithya: Ya, true. For some reason, thalaivar movies seem to appeal to them! Its similar to how movies that hit rock bottom in Hollywood, like Anaconda, are super-hits in India! Btw, you remember there was a thread in a community that you are a part of too, where we started listing songs. I was searching for the lyrics of this particular song (just to make sure I don't screw up the lyrics, to be my entry, when I found these pics in a PDF file. Boo: These are step by step instructions for people to rehearse the dance for that particular song! Visit: I know!!!!
Hail Rajni, a fellow saggi! I still remember how much one will be lost in adulation for him when you go to the first show of his any movie. It was "Chandralekha" in my case. I screamed my lungs out till the end of the movie even though I don't understand Tamil. I owe it all to one and only "Rajni"
Smyta: Thats exactly the reaction I had when I saw it. And I was actually searching for the lyrics of that song when this one turned up! Gvenum: You mean, ChandraMUKHI? And ya, the one and only Rajini...
IBH: I logged on and saw a post on LG's blog.. And then I logged on to email and saw pics in my inbox. I did not wanna post the same pics as LG or anybody else did. And btw, I sort of like this pic better.
Zero: Ya, too much la?
gvenum: Hows the megastar doing? Jai Chiranjeeva out yet? The music rocks though! And did he get back to you with prospective matches? ;)
I guess its due in next week. Chiru is just promises, no action. I guess I did too much of "Jai Chiranjeeva" and hence got blessed with a prolonged bachelor status(pun intended). I am waiting for a "Jai Krishna":.
Hathirpithi: Totally unintentional, i say... Its a song.. and it has hindi lyrics in it followed by the same lines in Tam. But I could not resist this. It was a momentous day that comes just a handful of times in a decade...
Ya, I read that post and that interview too... He will.. he will.. the moment he decides to get out of movies. The Rajini I know is not the ostentatious sort and I am sure you wont read a biography till he is out of movies...
Hey,anti...thanks for dropping by...u in consulting? Big 5?
And glad to know that even across the oceans, certain heartbeats of certain consultants go "thalaiva,thalaiva,thalaiva"...if u havent seen a rajni movie opening in Madurai, you aint seen nothing -1st day 1st show rocks-never mind the bloody battles that one fights to get in and stay in!
Yeah, I was at American - passed out in 99...And Roshan would have been in the 3rd year,I think...later he joined IIM-A...Sheesh, the complex that these achievers give us...
