ABSOLUTELY URGENT: Accommodation wanted

Two posts are long overdue on this blog. I do have to apoloize to Thennavan and also to all those who are waiting for those answers for the IMDB quiz from a few weeks ago. The last few weeks have been very hectic and when I finally found the time to blog a couple of days ago, something made be really mad and I had to post my thoughts on that.

Anyways, it is time for another post. I still don't know if its safe to say this, but I am really in a time crunch and so I thought I will post this "Accommodation wanted" ad right here on my blog.

I am going to be moving to the Parsippany / Roxbury / Rockaway area (I am going to be working in Rockaway) in New Jersey, on a long term assignment and am looking for accommodation. I am looking either for a single bedroom or a studio apartment in that area. Alternatively, I could share an apartment but would love to have a bedroom for myself. So in case you are looking for a housie to live with you, I am the ONE!

If you have a place in mind or if I fit the profile of a prospective housie for you or someone you know, please call me @ 740 274 0340. If I don't pick up, please leave me a message and a number to call you back. Alternatively, leave a message in the comments as well. I need to move in on or after November 14 (Monday).

And ya, I do have a "accommodation wanted" ad posted on both Sulekha and craigslist. Tips and suggestions are awaited and appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

Damn, a few tweaks here & there and this reads like the perfect matrimonial profile. Jersey butlees, snag him while you can. :)

>>you don't have a pervert in your hands who'd talk to your assets rather than to you.
*cough* liar

Manoj: I know you are joking, but dude, if this is your idea of the perfect matrimonial profile and you are still single, you need serious education before you can lose your single status. Why on earth, would say that I want a separate room for myself to conduct "my private affairs"? I know that I am a quintessential south indian male, but I am well *ahem* educated! LOL...
Well, on second thoughts I have to agree with you, apart from that "separate room" clause, I could post this to entice the market out there! But then, when time comes, I don't think I would need a posting like this. Things will happen on a "word of mouth" basis ;)

Since when is it a perversion to talk to a person's assets rather than the person. Man, you ARE a quintessential SI male. :)

Manoj said...

heh-heh Trust me, it would read perfect for some, but yeah, I was mostly kidding except for the part where I called you a liar! :)) 'Word of mouth' basis? You talking about thoughtful friends who might hook you up with a chicita, OR toothless paatis & nosey aunties exchanging horoscopes & other info behind a Thai Maasa pandhal?

As for my single status, that's a thing of the past. :s

Pesaama naan sollaradha kaelu. Change point # 4 to the following:
4. Just give me a room..yada, yada, yada...inside that room. I am male and if you are a still-single lady in her 20s, I can't think of a better way to test our compatibility than by living under the same roof.

You can exclude the in her 20s part, based on your preferences.

Anti, thanks for writing to Amit about my dad. I had written to him too and saw his email this morning about his update. Congrats on finding the job that you've been looking for. Northern NJ is a good place (as long as you are not within Jersey City) :-)

Hi Anti,

Not sure if U found accomodation.

I would suggest try Vail gardens on vail road. Everything goes by bribe out here. if U r ready to shell ($300-$400 in cash) to the leasing office dudes U should be able to move into a studio/loft/single bedroom in a weeks time. The apartment is pretty neat compared to other communities in that area. Close to all major highways.

all the best.
